Immersion Private Limited (IPL), Project: Ansaar Model City
Introduction
In October of 2009, Acumen Fund, Bamboo Finance and some private sector investors agreed to invest USD 2 million to launch a proposed 100-acre/2300-unit affordable housing project by the name of Immersion.
IPL retained AMC to implement our unique affordable housing business model and create a sustainable, mixed-income, and mixed-use community. The Project, Ansaar Model City, is located 20 kilometers from the city center of Lahore in Kala Shah Kaku. It is situated at a distance of 3 km from the Motorway, 2.5 km east of the Grand Trunk Road, and just 1.5 KM from the Kala Shah Kaku railway station (see location map). Ansaar Model City provides residents with complete civil infrastructure and social infrastructure.
Ansaar Model City will be developed in a phased approach over a 4 year time frame (2011- 2014), during which AMC will not only be developing housing, but will actively be involved with the process of community development.
